whitening myth debunked

I have come to realise that there is a MAJOR misconception whereby people usually presume that whitening products are meant to literally whiten one's skin thus making one turn fairer. Whitening products are in fact used to reduce or prevent appearance of sun-spots like freckles, discolouration and uneven skin tones. Whitening products are sometimes capable of brightening the skin. However, there are more apt brightening products in the market aimed to provide desired radiance. Many who harbour inaccurate mindsets that whitening is to attain fairer complexions tend to overuse whitening products. This, in the long run, can possibly lead to greater skin sensitivity. It is easy to achieve fair skin tones as long as one consistently and religiously apply sunscreen and avoid intensive and frequent sun exposure. However, this is rather challenging a task for youths like myself who occasionally enjoy having fun outdoors. Thus, I dilligently apply whitening essence (face) and whitening milk lotion (body) to minimise chances of developing the above-stated symptoms in the future.
