NYX Liquid Crystal Liner

source: beflurt

This is the "gun metal" shade of liquid glitter eyeliner from NYX that I bought.

Ebay provides the whole series of options, as seen below.

Here are the swatches up close.

I like this NYX Liquid Crystal Liner a whole lot. For its cheap price, it is a surprisingly good product!

Kiehl's Ultra Moisturizing Eye Stick

(source: X)

This SPF30 gem is such a gratifying find. I have searched for this stick sunscreen, catered specially for the delicate eye area, for a really long time and I finally secured it. I am highly pleased with how moisturising the product is and it goes super well above my eye cream layer and below my concealer layer. I have already bought a back-up.

Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Cream SPF55PA+++

A new sunscreen I purchased! Been wanting to try this particular product out for the longest time and I finally got round to buying it. Still finishing up my L'Oreal UV Perfect UV Protector (Anti-Dullness) currently but I will switch to Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Cream afterwhich. A review will be coming up then, watch this space!

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser

I recently replaced my Clinique Liquid Facial Soap Mild with Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser and I am loving the switch. I prefer the latter more than the former, although both are equally mild cleansers in terms of performance. They are not, in my opinion, suitable for removing make-up but solely for the second stage of cleansing after make-up removal is done.

Lush Sweetie Pie Shower Jelly

I absolutely adored the sweet fruity scent that this shower jelly emits, however the same satisfaction does not extend to its practicality. The jelly crumbled far too easily for my convenience and a little bit definitely does not go a long way. The whole jelly took me about 10 washes to deplete, which is totally reasonable and fine, given that it cost less than USD$6 for a container, but I am certainly a greater fan of Lush's bath soaps.

update: Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush

I have since chucked this blush because my friend and I who used it suspected that it may be breaking us out. I have never been a fan of cream blushes anyway. To those who are still interested in this product, you can check out external reviews on MUA here.

Revlon top coat & base coat

(L): Revlon Extra Life No Chip Top Coat
(R): Revlon Quick Dry Base Coat

These are possibly my favourite top and base coats of all time. Although they are, in my opinion, kind of pricey for drugstore-brand nail polishes, I am loving the results they produce. The base coat dries up very quickly and prevents staining effectively. The top coat ends off with a strong, glossy finish.

Benefit Full Glam Ahead!

I recently bought this Benefit Full Glam Ahead! set from Sephora. The box packaging clearly states the products within. I will do an individual review for each of the items in seperate entries once I have tried them. Stay tuned!

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment

After chancing upon numerous positive raves about this Maybelline concealer, particularly from YouTube beauty guru Tiffany D, I decided to buy it from a local drugstore in Seattle. I bought the shade "20 Light Pale". I have yet to open and try out this product but I am highly excited to. I have enjoyed fine experiences with Maybelline's concealers, such as Maybelline Pure Mineral Concealer and Maybelline Concealer/Camouflant, so I hope this one will not disappoint as well.

SANA Pore Putty BB Cream

I LOVE THIS BB CREAM! It is, hands-down, the best BB cream I have ever come across and I simply cannot say enough good things about it. I highly recommend everyone to head out and secure this purchase. Not only does the BB cream provide excellent coverage, it also assists in pore-concealing (which I believe is one of its most significant selling point).

REVIEW: Revlon PhotoReady Foundation

The most common feedback I received about this drugstore-brand foundation is that the product may contain chunky glitter particles. I personally do not find that to be the case at all, although I doubt I would have minded that. I like the dewy finish as well as the satisfactory coverage provided. The foundation is also extremely lightweight, which I am pleased about. I bought the shade "004 Nude".

Smith's Rosebud Salve Lip Balm

I am done with my previous two EOS lip balms (which I really liked and would probably stock up before I fly back to Singapore) and have switched to using the Smith's Rosebud Salve option. I think the thicker, jelly-like texture of this particular lip balm is suitable for colder, dryer seasons but may be too heavy and uncomfortable for hotter, more humid weather. I am not a big fan of the scent, which I deem slightly too medicinal-smelling but it does not pose as a huge problem for me.

base make-up

Some of the base make-up I own in my cosmetics' collection which I believe I have yet to review. Wait for it! :)

Yes To Blueberries Eye Firming Treatment Cream

(source: X)

This is currently the eye cream I use for night time and I must say it is one of the best eye products I have ever tried. Evidence of fine lines have reduced significantly with just a few nights of application. However, I must caution that the scent of the product may be too unpleasant for the preferences of some. Yet I like the effectiveness of the eye cream enough to tolerate the smell.

update: Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado

This has definitely scaled the ranks to swiftly but surely become my favourite eye cream to apply in the daytime. It provides a smooth, well-moisturised base for me to apply concealer above. I am about 1/3 through with my current tub and am contemplating trying Kiehl's Line Reducing Eye Brightening Concentrate next.

L'Occitane En Provence Dry Skin Hand Cream

I am smitten with this hand cream. I love the scent, which strangely (but in a good way) reminds me of baby powder. The moisturising properties were also quite fine.

Soap & Glory Flake Away Body Polish

"A superhero strength skin smoothing body polish with shea butter, sweet almond oil, peach seed powder, sea salt and sugar." - Soap&Glory

I loathe this body scrub, which was rather surprising because I have mostly had good experiences with products from the Soap&Glory line. The exfoliating ingredients were too harsh for my liking.

However, fleurdeforce, a British YouTube beauty guru, clearly enjoys using this. The choice is yours.

Pond's Original All Day Clean Wet Cleansing Towelettes

Bought this pack of wet cleansing towelettes while I was on vacation in Los Angeles and neglected to pack my make-up cleanser along. I decided to try towelettes from Pond's because I heard that this brand has been around for a long time and their cold cream is reportedly one of the best. Although I am still wary and hesistant with regard to taking the plunge in using cold cream in replacement of typical make-up removers, I suppose trying out their towelettes is a sufficient start. I will not re-purchase because I do not particularly fancy the idea of using towelettes to remove make-up. In my opinion, it does not feel clean enough and I do not find this method economical at all.

L'Oreal Telescopic Explosion Mascara

I am absolutely infatuated with this unique-looking mascara. I use it solely for my bottom lashes because the rounded, ball-shaped wand makes application super easy and convenient for the tiny lower lashes. I have already well stocked up a few back-ups of this product. I only like it in the shade "blackest black" and I buy the waterproof version in order to avoid smudging.

Philosophy Purity Made Simple One-Step Facial Cleanser

I use this cleanser as a make-up remover. I purchased the travel-sized version in order to test out the product and I am glad I did so because despite all the raves I have heard about it, I only find it to be mediocre and average in its cleansing performance. It pales in comparison to my long-standing L'Oreal Gentle Cleansing Milk and new-found favourite Burt's Bees Soap Bark and Chamomile Deep Cleansing Cream (which I will review soon). Plus the scent was very off-putting.

Bumble and Bumble Thickening Shampoo & Conditioner

Bought these travel-sized bottles from the Sephora outlet in Las Vegas. The shampoo emits a very fresh grass-like scent, which kind of surprised me, because I was not expecting any hair products to smell that way. Nonetheless, I quite liked the unique scent. Smell issues aside, both products also worked well in producing satisfactory volumising effects. However, I highly doubt I will re-purchase because this brand is rather expensive.

L'Oreal Vive Pro Glossy Volume Body Boosting Shampoo & Conditioner

I really enjoyed using these two products in conjunction with each other. I liked the scent as well as the sufficient volumising effects generated. L'Oreal's products may not be fabulous but they do not usually disappoint, which is why I typically hold faith in their lines.
