1. Too Faced Lip Primer
Purchased this on a whim although I really did not require it. It has now been relegated to an additional step in my make-up routine as well as an extra lip cosmetic I own that serves no visible purpose. I simply apply it after my ZA Vitamin Lip, which provides my lips with SPF protection, just so I have a smoother canvas for my lipsticks and lip glosses to go on. Its effectiveness diminshes even more when I apply lip gloss because the glossy texture of any lip glosses entirely eliminates the need for a smoother base. It is rather useless in my opinion.
2. Urban Decay Eye Primer
Another relatively useless product for me. Many have claimed this to be their HG eye primer and it has definitely soared greater heights than other established brands such as NARS and Too-Faced. Despite the numerous raves I came into contact with regarding this primer, I must say it served no spectacular purpose on my lids. I should, however, first clarify that I do not have oily lids. It is a very popular eye primer that claims to work fabulously on oily lids to prevent creasing or smudging. Thus, my non-oily lids could be one main reason behind why I am not an ardent fan. My eyeliner does smudge after several hours regardless whether I prime beforehand or not. Hence, I have confirmed that the smudging process is inevitable after a long time. In addition, I am also using a drugstore-brand eyeliner (Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner) so I guess I cannot expect too much. Will I repurchase? Yes. Who knows? This primer may work wonders when it comes to eyeshadows. I am currently not that into eyeshadows because I find that they either make me look too "ahlian" or OTT but I will surely check them out again sometime in the near future when I am older and wiser.
