whitening

I suffered from a sudden breakout about some time last month as a result of utilising a facial scrub with exfoliating properties too harsh for my skin's needs. Initially, I suspected the cause to be over-hydration because I was using a lotion with hyaluronic acid as well as a hydrating serum at the same time. However, it has later been confirmed that the large beads in my St Ives Apricot Scrub were the culprits. My skin took a considerably long time to fully heal, as usual, but it is now in a much better condition. However, I am beginning to realise that my ameliorated face is a lot fairer than the skin tone I previously had. This hit me as a strange revelation because I had begun to steer clear of whitening products for fear that they will increase my skin sensitivity. One downside to a fairer complexion is that the yellow undertones most Asians harbour become more visible than before. Some have pointed out that my state of fairness can only go so far because of the Indonesian blood in me, however I am unsure of the accuracy of that claim. In addition, my body has definitely become MUCH fairer in recent times. I swear by Nivea Night Whitening Body Milk. It effectively provides moisturisation as well as caters to the prevention of development of sunspots on my arms and legs. Thankfully, I am very skinny, because all the skin lightening aspects will result in one looking fatter. I sometimes receive comments that I appear to have put on weight and I secretly wonder if it is because I am no longer as tanned? A tip for those who aspire to look slimmer - quit looking pasty and get a tan! Of course I do not recommend regular sunbathing or salon-tanning because UV rays are extremely harmful.
