REVIEW: L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Concealer

Out of all the concealers I have tried to date, the L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Concealer has got to be my favourite pick thus far. I believe in splurging money to purchase excellent concealers so how well this drugstore-brand product performs kind of blew me away. I am truly impressed, even more so since I was rather disappointed by Bourjois Healthy Mix Correcting Concealer and Revlon Age Defying Spa Concealer. My main gripes with the Bourjois one was because of the lack of shades available and the fact that the formulation is so sheer that it should not be marketed as a concealer. Firstly, there were only 2 colours up for selection (51 & 52) and despite me choosing the darker option (52), I found, to my utmost dismay, that its shade was not suitable for covering eye circles. Secondly, the super sheer formulation was akin to the coverage of a lightweight BB cream and not a proper concealer. In my opinion, the Bourjois concealer only works best in shielding small blemishes or lightening any areas of redness. Anyone requiring converage for more severe problems should stray from purchasing. I do not utilise a concealer for both aforementioned cases so the concealer was more or less a useless product for me, I only apply concealer on my undereyes. I tried my hardest to make it work because I truly enjoyed the fruity, apricot scent which was a major pro compared to chemical-smelling concealers, yet it just failed to blend finely on my undereyes. Even my friends commented that Bourjois concealers were indeed shabby. The Revlon Age Defying Spa Concealer was another issue altogether. I like the consistency and the formulation a fair bit. The shade I bought used to be a tad too light for my undereyes and the fact that it contains some sort of a yellowish undertone to its liquid created an unflattering post-application result. However, after my facial skin colour lightened up, I realised the concealer worked alright for me. However, the tube soon got extremely messy as with typical twist-up packagings holding liquidy products and this con became a serious turn-off for me. I chucked the Revlon concealer out a while ago. While I shall not touch on the other concealers I have used in my life, I will mention that another pleasant drugstore-brand concealer is ZA Concealer Perfection. I went through a total of 2 of these before and enjoyed them. A little goes a long way and I usually reached a point where I had to throw them out because they were getting too old to finish using. As of now, I am faithfully sticking to L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Concealer till I get bored or it runs out. Drop me a comment to let me know of any nice concealers you would recommend! :)
