SHOWDOWN: Biore UV Face Milk VS L'Oreal UV Perfect VS Sunplay Sunblock Lotion

A while back, I bought a mini version of Sunplay Sunblock Lotion SPF130 from Watsons just so I could test out the product and dish my thoughts about it. The tiny bottle cost me only SGD$2 so I was more than willing to cement the economical purchase.

Is not the packaging extremely adorable? Definitely one of the cutest sunblocks I have ever seen!

Overall, I feel that it is a really good sunblock. As with almost all Japanese brands of sunblock lotions that I am aware of, the formulation is very liquidy and runny unlike Western brands of sunblock lotions that tend to come in thicker formulations. I applied SPF130 sun protection on my face on the two days I had to conduct filming outdoors and I did not turn darker at all. The texture feels extremely light on the face. However, one should ensure not to apply this sunblock too close to the delicate eye area because it will sting.

Biore UV Face Milk, on the other hand, is suitable for application near the eye area so as not to neglect that part of the face from sun protection. It does not result in a stinging sensation. In addition, Biore UV Face Milk, as well as  L'Oreal UV Perfect, come in light pink and purple shades respectively that brighten the complexion post-application and I really fancy that. I do not think Sunplay retails this option. Of these three sunblocks, L'Oreal UV Perfect has the thickest consistency but that it no surprise because L'Oreal is a Western brand afterall.

In conclusion, my favourites are rated as follow.
1. Biore UV Face Milk
2. L'Oreal UV Perfect
3. Sunplay Sunblock Lotion
