Let's Talk Beauty!

I have come to realise that it is so easy for me to achieve a "full face make-up" look by merely applying concealer, adding a lip colour and playing up my eyes with mascara and eyeliner. In fact, if I had to further simplify the steps, I think just putting eyeliner or lippie is sufficient to enhance my entire face. Also, I never used to find undereye concealing a significant process but I think I may have grossly underestimated its effectiveness in giving the whole face a more "awake" feel. I know a lot of people deem mascara application one of the more important steps but it is negligible in my opinion. I, too, am almost totally clueless when it comes to the world of shading and bronzers. Bronzers make my skin tone, post-application, appear a strange and unflattering colour. Plus I am very contented with my face sans shading. I do quite fancy the idea of highlighting though, it works splendidly to accentuate features and some highlighters add a splash of glitter which I absolutely adore. Recently, I have started to stray away from my initial BB cream craze and began appreciating foundation a greater deal. I am no longer so naive to completely buy into all the benefits BB creams proclaim to harbour. I also no longer believe liquid foundations to be as damaging to the skin as once rumoured. I reach for my Skin79 VIP Gold BB cream most frequently. I am aware that it provides extremely light coverage and comes in a very grey shade which many deem a problem. My yellowish undertone is strong, thus the greyish colour of the Skin79 BB cream does not bother me because it counteracts with my skin colour and turns a nude shade. For those with pink undertones, such as Caucasians, the greyish product may counteract with their skin colour to form a murky shade that is understandably unflattering. I also rather enjoy Maybelline Clear Smooth Minerals BB Cream. I hereby declare that its coverage is as heavy as Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, a fluid foundation. This is one aspect I do not like because I personally feel that the Maybelline BB cream masks the face. For those who prefer medium to heavy coverages can try this particular product because I believe it is capable of concealing all light blemishes with one layer. I do love the formulation though, it is more watery that many of its counterparts and therefore more easily blendable. A gripe I have with it is that the product does leave streaks and white cast if users are not careful. As I am in the midst of attempting to finish these two BB creams, I am unable to fully testify for a lot of other BB cream options in the market which is a major pity but I do have only one face and limited time. To end off this random post, I will like to strongly remind everybody to don sunscreen! That is undeniably the utmost crucial step that should never be skipped at all costs.
