Maybelline Clear Smooth Minerals BB Cream
Barbie Tint BB Cream
Kameria Baby Face BB Cream
Skin 79 VIP Gold BB Cream
BB creams form a relatively new segment in the base make-up category. These are the handful of different brands that I have had a chance to try for myself. Out of all the above options, my least favourites have got to be Maybelline's and Barbie's. I used up the whole tube from Maybelline and although I do not absolutely abhor it, the product was simply not to my liking. The formulation is watery enough to be easily blendable, which posed as a huge bonus when user is in a rush, but the coverage was too heavy. I totally felt like I was wearing a mask on my face. However, a benefit of this is that any blemishes can be conveniently covered without the need for concealers. I have only used Barbie Tint BB Cream once. I do not recall sharing a very positive experience with it but I cannot quite place a finger on the reasons now. I will definitely return with a re-evaluation post once I start using it again. Kameria Baby Face BB Creams are a real delight, they provide moisturisation during period of wear and the coverage is appropriate. My favourite BB cream currently has got to be the Skin 79 VIP Gold one. The texture pumps out slightly thick and I initially was rather turned off by its blending difficulty yet I eventually got used to it. The formulation is excellent because unlike most base make-up, this does not oxidise. Make-up tends to easily oxidise in warm weather and Singaporeans living in such a hot and humid climate of course are prone to such a plight. Even my Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua liquid foundation oxidises so my face complexion turns darker after a few hours of wear. Anyway, back to the original topic, I thereby conclude that Skin 79 produces a fantastic VIP Gold version of BB cream. I own another BB cream in my stash, PorePutty BB Cream, but have yet to open the packaging. I think after I am through with these BB creams that I currently own, I will not purchase anymore in the forseeable future.
